Two 2 Tango


 Bio: John Bayman

     John started out as a Jazz Dancer and  became deeply involved in Ballroom Dancing. He passed out of his Bronze level and into the Silver levels of Swing, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Mambo, Samba, Meringue, Fox Trot, Waltz, and American Tango in the American Standard Syllabus.

     After being exposed to Argentine Tango, John began traveling to Chicago, Miami, New York, Boston, and many other cities to study with the Tango Masters. Starting out in Miami with his long time friend's Jorge Nell (Mr. Tango Shoes), and Bob Dronski (Tango Nada Mas) in Chicago, John was able to work with some of the best teachers in the United States, attending workshops and private lessons with many traveling teachers from Buenos Aires that frequented the Midwest.

     Attending Tango Congress in Miami, Vancouver, Las Vegas, Montreal, London, Paris and Zurich, he was able to work with many of his Favorite Teachers Like Fernada Ghi & Guillermo Merlo (Forever Tango) Facundo & Kelly Posodas (Buenos Aires) Daniel Lapadula (Soul of Tango) Juan Carlos Copes (Carlos Saura's movie "Tango") Marino "Chico" Frumboli (Blue Tango) and Carlos Gavito & Marcela Duran (World Champion Tango Dancers) Leandro Palou & Andrea Misse (Tango Danza) and others like Julio Balmaceda & Corina de la Rosa, Osvalo Roldan & Monica Fumagalli, Osvaldo Zotto & Lorena Ermocida, to name a few.

     John has performed in many events in the Midwest like "Cold Comfort" Chicago  "Fandango to Tango" & "Dancesport" at the Notre Dame ACC South Bend.

     Sarah and John have performed together at the DEVOS PLACE  Grand Rapids for the Presidents "Evening in Espana" Raddison Grand Ballroom in Kalamazoo for the SWMD Dance  Showcase as well as many corporate events like Fredrick Meijer Gardens Grand Ballroom.

     John has been Performing  and Teaching the Argentine Tango for over 20 years in the Midwest cities of South Bend, Mishawaka, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Detroit,Lansing, Grand Rapids, and  Chicago.

     Now residing in Naples Florida John has continued his teaching in Southwest Florida Area and teaches Private and group lessons on a weekly basis.

     John's philosophy about tango is very simple; the music is the most important part of the dance. It's really just two people sharing a moment with the music.
